It was a super nice day today--sunny, blue skies, just warm enough that the wind didn't chill when it blew. So lovely, but still melancholy because I know a storm is bringing in a cold front this weekend, so it's like the last. There will still be tomorrow and maybe Wednesday . . . but then . . . who knows? "This thou perceiv'st, which makes thy love more strong/To love that well which thou must leave ere long." Except I'm not leaving; it's leaving me. I wrote notes of sympathy to my uncle and cousins and sent them. I did some weeding and filled a compost bag with thistles, my chronic nemesis. I feel certain amount of despair at how much there still is to be done. After the Sparrowhawk went to the gym, I still had enough daylight for a walk, but after that I ran out of gas.
