Sep. 9th, 2020 10:08 pmI slept for eight hours, but it was hard work. I woke up at 4:30, but I was determined I was NOT going to get up this time, and I succeeded in going back to sleep. The temperature was down to 55 and the windows were open, so it was nice and cozy for sleeping, I think it was the first time in months I slept with a blanket. I still didn't feel very energetic and didn't get a lot done. Did laundry, made cookies, wrote several more cards to various people, including yet another friend who is currently in hospice, and a friend whose brother just died. The list of cards that I've written to people in the last couple of months is quite impressive. It wouldn't be so long if people would just stop getting sick and dying! There have been some birthdays, weddings, and other happy events in there.
I tried my shampoo soap this morning. I got one citrus sun scent, and one sandalwood, each with a matching conditioner bar. Today I tried the citrus sun. It lathered up nicely, and appeared to rinse out okay. It's a little more work than liquid shampoo. It seemed to wash out all right, and my hair has felt and looked normal so far. I'm reserving judgment for a few days, because sometimes the soap residue builds up over time. So far so good, though--it's working better than any other shampoo soap I've tried. If I'm still pleased at the end of the week, I'll post a link to the company.
We had a good long Zoom with Deb and the Prussian. It was good to see their faces and have a relaxing time together. After supper, we had a brief Facetime with Raptor. Today is his NINTH birthday! Unbelievable. He was very much occupied with putting together his new Batman Lego, but spared time to listen to the birthday song and thank us very nicely for his gift from us--a hanging tent like a little tree house. He asked who my favorite Batman villain was, and I picked Catwoman.
