PineSiskin of Celeste

We had a day of social engagements today. The Sparrowhawk went to the UU men's breakfast this morning. I had hoped to get to the gym again, but couldn't. I was awake in the wee hours again, and had to go back to bed for a nap when the sun started to come up, so I missed the gym. I went out to lunch with my friend Dragonfly. By then, the sky was blue and the temperature was an insanely balmy 45 degrees. It was the kind of day that sends your brain into a tizzy, because you think spring is coming. It's NOT. It will be cold again in a couple of days. But it was lovely while it lasted. I came home and worked on that pesky synopsis some more. Tonight, the Sparrowhawk is out at a book club started by a friend from work. I think it's so great that he has time now to do some of those things. However, I really missed him when I had to talk to my mother. I was somewhat reassured tonight, because the helper came in to give Mother her medications while I was on the phone, so she just put the phone down, and I heard the whole thing. The caregiver was both professional and kind, and I could hear for myself that my mother was taking her medications the way she was supposed to, and someone was keeping an eye on her. And I finally got my laundry done, after letting it pile up to the point where I was scrounging things from the back of the drawer!
