Starling of Bluster

I told the Sparrowhawk that, between having a haircut this morning and getting my teeth cleaned this afternoon, I feel as if I've been through the carwash. I didn't get the hot wax, though. I was worried that I'd have a coughing spasm at the dentist, since I'm upside down and feel choky at the best of times. And you can't have a cough drop in your mouth while the hygienist is at work. But I survived in good shape. I've been much less congested today. Perhaps I'm really getting better. Happy happeeeeee!!

Meanwhile, the Sparrowhawk had some difficulties to surmount. First he tried to install the new modem, which took much longer than expected. Then he jumped in the car to go and get some pie for Pi Day. He drove a block and realized that he had a flat tire. He drove the car gingerly home and put on the spare. Then he had to go to the tire shop and get two new tires, the old one being shredded beyond repair. And then he finally made the trip to Sweetie-licious to bring home a couple of slices of pie, which made up for everything.

When we'd both arrived home, we heard a knock at the door, and in came Dr. Nurse. She was in her white coat, on her way back from some of her clinical work, and said she just wanted to stop in and give us a hug, and thank us for her shower gift. She's always a ray of sunshine, and hug is always a nice surprise.
