Jul. 9th, 2018 10:02 pmMy intention is to get into going back to the gym on a regular basis, but I just can't do it on 5 hours of sleep. Some people sleep 5 hours and merrily trot over to the gym, but I think I would probably do myself an injury if I tried that. Last night I was asleep for 5 hours, woke up at 5 am just as it was starting to get light, and couldn't go back to sleep. I got up and stayed up until the Sparrowhawk came down, because I didn't want to wake him up by climbing in and out of bed and thrashing around. Then I had to go back and take a nap because I didn't think I would make it through the day. So, as my father used to say, it was not yet noon, and I'd "already bollixed up the whole day."
I spent the only productive hour of the morning doing an internet thing that will probably have no results whatsoever, but I felt I needed to make an effort. Then I wrote a card for a friend from church who is not doing well. She's an old lady and needs encouragement. Snf. I feel sad because she's such a great person and I don't like to think of her feeling bad. I did a little bit of writing and went for a walk, and watered the front flower beds. Called my mother etc. Now we're watching 2001, but the Sparrowhawk keeps falling asleep. I am not happy about my lack of energy--but what can I do except try again tomorrow?
