Burdock of Leave
Sep. 19th, 2019 09:48 pmI had a horrible night last night. Woke up at 3 and the pain was up to eleventy. I got up and suffered in a vertical position till 7, when I finally was able to go back to sleep. When I woke up at 9, I canceled my haircut and called the doctor. The very nice, intelligent PA squeezed me into the schedule. However, it was just as I thought. They don't know what's going on and can only send me for an endless round of tests. After the appointment, I went and got blood labs done. She wants to send me over to gastroenterology, but not until she sees the blood tests. Meanwhile, I'm in a lot of pain and feel nauseated all the time. It's the kind of pain you get with a gall bladder attack, but I don't have a gall bladder, so it's not that. She said if it gets bad, I should just to go the ER. Which is what they always say, alas. My plan is to see if I can sleep tonight. If yes, I will wait till tomorrow to go to the ER, because going there in the middle of the night is horrid. If no, I will go tonight. I doubt they will be able to help me, but I can't take much more of this. I haven't eaten anything today, and can't even imagine swallowing anything but ice water. I also got a flu shot, so now my arm is hurting. I just don't have the bandwidth to do anything else.
