It was a bright sunny day, and not too cold, in spite of the strong blustery wind. For a change from walking around our neighborhood, we drove to a nearby park. En route, we passed through the Village, where (mostly) the fancy people live. It was buzzing with activity--joggers, walkers, bicyclists. We like to hang out there by the lake in normal times, but not now. We were glad that wasn't our destination because it was just too busy, and no one was wearing a mask. The place we went to was mostly deserted, so we walked around the perimeter and sat on a hilltop in the sun for awhile without passing more than a couple of people, and we were able to distance ourselves.

We had a nice visit via FaceTime with Tron. We worked on the infernal puzzle. The Sparrowhawk made us cheeseburgers for dinner. We watched "Troop Zero." It made me tear up. Back when I was a Girl Scout leader, my troop was not entirely unlike that one, allowing for cinematic exaggeration. I wish I could have made things work out better for them. Oh, I could tell some stories about that . . . and so could the Diva. She was in my troop. Silly me--I thought this would be a nice, fun activity for us. Oh boy. Well, it was interesting, for sure. The seedy handyman who was working next door and left his hammer on the lawn was back there working today, so I gave him back his hammer. He wanted to clean up our yard for us. He gives off a vibe that to me is untrustworthy. I turned him down last week. This week, he accosted the Sparrowhawk and tried to get the job from him. I'm sure he needs the work, so I feel kind of bad about not hiring him, but I don't want him around. So no. He can work for Robert next door, but not for me. I told myself it was too windy today for me to clean up my own yard. One of these days . . . .
