Not much to report. We spent a leisurely amount of time reading and talking. This is good--but my brain is stubbornly stuck on "No must accomplish measurable output!" I'm trying to retrain that part of me, because it specializes in making me miserable. The fact is, I'm 69 and literally no one would give a rat's ass if I DID accomplish some kind of easily quantified whatever. What are they gonna do if I sit around all day in my pjs? Fire me?

I didn't get around to working in the yard, but the Sparrowhawk mowed the back yard. After dinner, he kindly consented to go for a walk with me. The trees are starting to take on color and softness now. We waved to a few neighbors at a discreet distance. We're super lucky to have such a pleasant area to walk in, one that's nearby, full of natural beauty, and seldom busy. In honor of May the Fourth, we're watching the original Star Was, which we could practically recite by heart. Oh my gosh, they were all such CHILDREN. And so were we . . . . Some of us literally, as the Philosopher was 4 and the Diva was 2 when they accompanied us to stand in line and see it in the theater.
