ArcticTern of Shadow
Nov. 13th, 2020 10:18 pmYesterday, the sun was out in the morning, and we went for a nice walk. It's funny when the sun is so far south. It causes a delusion that it's much earlier in the morning than it really is, because of the angle of the light. But at least the sun was visible, briefly. It got more and more cloudy as the day went on, and I did indoor things like laundry, putting away laundry, and bathroom cleaning. My knees were so stiff and achy, and I was so tired and sleepy that I actually took a nap after supper! I blame the change in the weather. Maybe I'll get used to it eventually.
I ran out and did the shopping this morning. It was a good day for it, because the day was dark and chilly--I don't think it got above 40 all day. There weren't very many people in the store, although most of the ones that there were, were going the wrong way down the aisles. I didn't feel very triumphant about my shopping run. Things I wanted weren't available, and I didn't really find anything thrilling. Just random this and that. I didn't feel motivated. I eschewed the cheap turkey. I think we're going to bite the bullet and order an expensive all-natural (or supernatural!) turkey from the farm ladies. Then we'll make a tiny dent in it on Thanksgiving, and disassemble and stash the rest and live off it for a couple of weeks.
