I had one Zoom meeting with a friend cancelled for this morning, and thought cheerfully, "Oh well, that's not so bad. I have a lot of things I can get done today." Just like clockwork, at the time of my former appointment, another old friend called me up for a chat. I appreciate the Phone Fates for arranging my schedule for me. I did get the dishes done, did my laundry, made four loaves of bread, and worked on my story. The Sparrowhawk took the car in to get the rear wiper replaced and to check if they had the parts for the recall they'd announced (nope--still nothing) and fortuitously noticed that one of the headlights was out and got that replaced as well.
