SweetClover of Trill
Mar. 16th, 2021 08:48 pmAnother grey and cold day. Last night I felt so cold I had to put my winter jammies back on. I had a bad dream about time travel that woke me up. It was scary because the time-travel mechanism was on fire, and I shouted "help me" but couldn't make myself heard because I was out of phase, time-wise, and about to get stuck that way if we couldn't put out the fire. Then I went back to sleep and dreamed that I had time-traveled back to when we went to the grocery store without masks. I met someone from the past I never wanted to see again, and had to throw a five-pound package of frozen chicken at them because they wouldn't get out of my car. Time travel: Everything's on fire. You might be inaudible. Weaponized grocery items. Not as much fun as you might think. Anyway, when I woke up, I was pretty happy to have alighted in this time frame, however wintry it might look. I decided to just accept the fact that I wasn't going to want to go out today. I did some tidying up and called Queenie.
I had some rather squashy hot dog buns that had been in the freezer, and some leftover shredded cheese. so I turned them into cheese strata--the poor man's quiche, with stale bread standing in for the fancy piecrust. We had that for dinner, while watching "Guys and Dolls," a movie the Sparrowhawk loves.
