Cirrus of Zenith

We've spent the last few days having good times with the kids--board games, movies etc. in the evening, hence no posting. Yesterday was Beach Day, yay! Tron went with us, but the Lumberjack opted to stay home and get some kitchen time for his latest exploration. Last time they were here, he made baklava, and it was awesome. Yesterday, he created three loaves of chocolate-cinnamon babka that surely would have earned a handshake from Paul Hollywood. We stopped at the Whippi-Dip on the way home and got Chicago dogs, burgers, etc. for dinner. Followed by babka . . . yum. This morning it's cool, rainy, and windy. I'm so pleased we didn't put off the beach until today in search of better weather. We bet that yesterday would clear up by the time we got to the shore, and we were right. The water was still under 55 degrees. Tron and I went in anyway, and I actually swam about for a bit, but I have to say it never really became what you'd call fun. It was . . . refreshing.
