I woke up this morning and--SNOW. On second look, I think it was mostly a heavy frost. But there might have been some snow in it. Anyway, cold and white. I had a somewhat busy day, as I was meeting Madame for lunch at her favorite restaurant, the one where I worry about parking. It's ridiculous how I fuss about anything that I'm not absolutely certain I can do perfectly. I found a perfect spot and used the payment kiosk successfully, although I had to try it twice because the first time I didn't push the credit card in far enough. I'm always afraid the machine is going to eat it and not give it back--not entirely ridiculous, because it has happened. Not this time, though. Madame pulled in right behind me, and we had a pleasant chat and nice food before the place filled up and got noisy.

At home, I read some more ERB and had a Zoom with another friend. This evening, we went to the movies AGAIN. This time, it was a one-night premiere of a biopic about C. S. Lewis, "The Most Reluctant Convert," based on a play that mostly incorporates his own words. It was more like hearing a story read to you, with illustrations, than actually seeing a drama acted out, but the words are eloquent and evocative, so for a word person like me, it was enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful, with many scenes shot in Oxford. I've now seen so many movies shot on location in Oxford that I feel as if I've been there!
