LandSwell of Bluster

We made a quick trip to the bookstore to get another pair of reading glasses, this one a much lower magnification. I have to experiment with which one is best. This means spending a couple of hours actually reading, so the jury's still out. The temperature was rising and the sun came out, so all the snow was beginning to melt away, but we still had one Very Last Fire in the fireplace. We already had one Last Fire during the last cold snap. I felt a little Richard Nixon-y, but hey, it was still pretty chilly, especially when the wind came up, and the warmth felt good. (Nixon notoriously cranked up the White House AC so he could have a fire burning in his private office.) I had a lively Zoom with Moonmoth and the Nonesuch, during which one of the topics of discussion was Piranesi, which we had all finally read. The Sparrowhawk made one of his excellent stir fries, and we celebrated Daylight Savings by actually going out for a walk between dinner and sunset. The trilling of red-winged blackbirds was everywhere.
