At long last, we are packed (??? I keep having second thoughts) and ready to go. Well, ready in a certain sense. I pray I'll live to come home and finish cleaning up various things so I won't be posthumously busted for the not very orderly life I've led. I suppose a few more things might get done tomorrow, like setting up the extra water for the indoor plants, and packing a lunch for the plane.

I think we'd both be feeling a little more settled if getting our tickets had gone more smoothly. The Sparrowhawk has been trying all week to get the cruise company to send us our e-tickets. This morning, he finally was able to make contact with them. "Oh, that should all be in your information packet." "It's not." "Hmm." A very long pause, and then he started getting email with the ticketing info. FINALLY. However, when he tried to get our seat assignments for the hop from GR to Detroit Metro, the Delta website wouldn't allow him to get seats. He tried to call them. No luck. So we drove to the airport and inquired at the desk there. (Not as big a deal as it might sound like--our airport is only about 20 minutes away.) She first said that she couldn't do it from there, but kindly found a way, for which we are devoutly grateful. We have seats. FINALLY. Yeah, that sucked a bit of our gumption away. I hoped we've had our maximum quota of obstacles now, and will sail blithely away tomorrow.

The ship SAYS it has wifi, so I might theoretically issue bulletins. We'll see!
