BlueDick of Trill
Mar. 23rd, 2023 10:14 pmYes, it's the name of a small bird. Go figure. I woke up to the sound of rain before dawn. I could also hear birds chirping, even with the windows still shut. I've been waiting for this sound of spring! Last night, I heard a robin sounding his sleepy evening chant.
While the Sparrowhawk was having a piano lesson, I did some grocery shopping, returned home and put everything away. Then I made cookies for our excursion tonight. We were invited to dinner with a delightful younger couple with four adorable children. The youngest was very pleased to tell us that she's going to be four next week. They were all pleased to have cookies. We learned that we have a surprising number of acquaintances in common. It's a small world here in Michigan. It was still light when the children's bed time arrived and we made our way home. That's one thing I do love about daylight savings time! We had time to watch "Murder, She Said," with Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple. She's delightful too, though in a different way. I want to know where she got that boiler suit! And her tweeds. I'd like to know who makes her clothes. I would order some forthwith and become much more imposing than I am in my current wardrobe. I already have a charming man to toast my scones for me (not a code phrase).
