Tupelo of Bloom

I finally tested negative this morning. The Sparrowhawk has not yet. For me, it's been two weeks. Jeez. A long time. I texted my brother to let him know that we were coming to stay at his house on Friday and Saturday, as he had invited us to do. Long silence. Then he said he was sorry, but they really were not comfortable with having us there. They'll be away for the weekend, but they'll be back on Sunday, and then on Monday and Tuesday he has to go for more tests. He can't come in to the hospital if he's been around anyone who has covid. Of course I said I understood. The last thing I would want to do is cause any more anxiety on top of what he's already dealing with. I had a feeling this would happen, as soon as we came down with it. So now we have to hunt up a hotel. it may be simpler anyway.

I had hoped to get a lot done today, but no. Put away laundry etc., then ran out of gas again. The air quality isn't good, due to smoke. It's still very dry. I called Madame, who is eager to go out tomorrow. Now that I'm testing negative, I won't have worries about being contagious to her.
