Cirrus of Zenith
Jun. 19th, 2024 08:50 pmMadame Day. Nothing much has changed. I found her waiting at the door, in a bit of a bad temper because she tried to walk out before I arrived, and the staff immediately zoomed to her side to ask her where she thought she was going. Making a break for it is one of her specialties. Fortunately, she can't move very fast, so they've caught up with her so far. The long-awaited grandchild has still not been born. We're all in suspense! We had a pleasant chat over lunch, though it did include the obligatory revisit of her car problems. She had a birthday last week, and she finally figured out how old she is now--86 to be precise. I wasn't going to tell her, because she told me not to. The car was very warm, because it was around 90 outside, and she fell asleep on the way home. These little jaunts tire her more than they used to.
The Nipper asked us for assistance with getting his AC fixed, and we were happy we could help, because no one should be without cooling in Pittsburgh these days! The Redhead is still looking for a job. Tron texted that she walked all the way down to the road and back. One step at a time! I hope she won't push herself too hard.
The PDF for my book about Dejah Thoris arrived, and I proofread a few chapters. I don't know how it will be received by fans. I still like it, and only found one typo so far. I'm still slightly out of sorts. Sometimes I get impatient with the day before sunset arrives, and I'm eager for it to dip into the bath of night and rise again in a more hopeful form.
