More pounding and crashing. It was annoying and distracting. But, honestly, these guys do an amazing job, and they work so hard. Some of the annoyance vanishes in my admiration for them. We had to get up early because they arrive pretty much at sun-up. I wanted to take a shower before they got to work. I started work on my long-delayed dusting project. I then became distracted, and it got out of hand, and remains unfinished, so it looks worse than it did before. Sigh. SOMEDAY I'll finish it.

The family drama has calmed down somewhat. Today's texting and phone calls involved Queenie's decision to put a short, neutral obituary for Mr. Science up in our home town newspaper. Ms. Science is still not ready to post anything for him, and she may never be. Queenie just feels that something needs to be publicly said anyway, and I agree with her. I hope it won't upset Ms. Science again, but I am not in control of that. We need some closure, irrespective of whether she ever gets to that point. I'm grateful that Queenie wants to write it, because after the fun times I had trying to compose our mother's obituary to everyone's satisfaction, I prefer not to.

Tron has been home since yesterday evening. The doctors were pleased with her response to the targeted antibiotics, and let her out. She says she is comfy and thinks she is getting a little better. I'm sure recovery will take awhile, but home has healing properties. Her chemo has been paused until she can have a consult with the oncologist to decide on the future of her treatment. So this is very good news, and we are so relieved to have a definite diagnosis and response.

The dishwasher was not working for several days. The Sparrowhawk had been trying to be good, and not only took the filter out to clean it, but took it apart to clean it more thoroughly. When he put it back in, the spray arm couldn't rotate because it kept bumping into the filter handle. The Sparrowhawk called the service entity and reported the problem. After hearing a description, they replied "That's impossible." So he sent them a video. Meanwhile, he worked like Beaumains in Le Morte D'Arthur, washing endless stacks of dishes. After considering the video, the service desk wrote back: "The filter is upside down." Oops. He had, as it turned out, put it back together upside down and backwards. His mortification was assuaged by the fact that he could make the dishwasher work again at no extra charge. I think we should just take the win.
