Tiger of Shadow

I think I may finally have this thing on the run. I would like to nuke it from orbit, but given that it's living inside me, that would be counterproductive. I'm still far from all better. However, I did put on actual pretty nice clothes. The Sparrowhawk swept and mopped the kitchen floor. I put some clothes in the laundry. Then I promptly suggested that instead of doing more, we might take a nice nap. I woke up feeling worse than before, which sometimes happens. But I gradually regained my equilibrium. I made green beans, beets, and salad to go with our leftover chicken and potatoes. Beets steamed until they are just tender, then served with a little sour cream and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, is one of my favorite ways to eat beets. The fact that I can actually take an interest in flavors again is a good sign. I really wanted to go for a walk, but was forced to conclude that today is still not that day.

The Diva called to discuss the holidays. Since the Nipper is coming here for Thanksgiving, the Diva and family feel they would rather stay home and perhaps come at Christmas, when she has more time off. Of course I would love to see them at any and all times, but I guess this does make sense. Angelbaby has found a job, and got a driver's license. Muffinhead has found a place to stay in Paris, but we don't actually have an address for him. Typical--as long as someone has an internet address, I guess it is old fashioned to expect an actual location on a map.
