I slept badly and then had a long conversation with Queenie. When the Sparrowhawk came home from his money counting, he needed a nap, so I took the opportunity to go to the grocery store. It was not an entirely successful trip, since they didn't have some of the things I wanted. It turned out to be a good idea, however, because the weather that was so sunny and blue in the morning took a turn for the nasty later. The wind was blowing hard all day. The Sparrowhawk went to the gym, but Coach let them go early because she was concerned about their homeward journey. The Sparrowhawk encountered dropping temperatures and blowing snow, but only saw one car in the ditch before he arrived safely at home. I had prepared some stroganoff, with carrots in it, in addition to the onions and mushrooms, for some extra fiber. He also had leftover zucchini, broccoli, and a bit of salad.

I had a Zoom with Moonmoth and the Nonesuch. Each of us had a nanaimo bar of our choice in belated honor of my birthday. Mine was milk chocolate and raspberry. Still delicious. In other news from the outside world, I saw a text from one of Madame's other visitors, informing the group that there's norovirus in the facility. Needless to say, there's no quarantine and she didn't interact with any supervisory personnel. She just saw a notice taped to the door. She said Madame seems fine and had eaten in her room. This is highly provoking, as I have no wish to expose myself to this plague. Mademoiselle said that she had tried to Facetime her mother several times without success, but will try again. Madame has become less and less able to cope with her devices, so I have sympathy for Mademoiselle's plight. I went through this with my own mother. Sigh. I shall await developments.
