I have very little to say. It's cold and I'm cranky. Yes, it's cold and grey and another snowstorm is expected, starting tomorrow. Ugh. I'll probably have just time to see Madame before the snow flies. I'd prefer just to pull the blanket over my head until the sun comes out again. I'm not sure what possessed me to agree to have my teeth cleaned at nine in the morning! Dental receptionists use the force on you. I was supposed to have had my teeth cleaned in November, but I was too sick to tolerate it, and continued to cough until halfway through January, so I was behind schedule. My teeth were in pretty good shape in any case--a pleasant surprise. My normally cheerful and perky hygienist was a little under the weather. She had surgery on both her hand and her foot for carpal tunnel-type issues, and both were still hurting. I told her someday the sun would come out, and the air would be soft and warm, and it would be spring, and then we'd all forget our aches and pains and think "Oh, everything's all right now." I certainly hope this will be true. Hans Christian Andersen says it will, in "The Snow Queen."

Other than that, we had our usual Zoom with Deb and the Prussian. I cooked some vegetables and some mushroom gravy to add to our leftovers. I fixed up some Valentines, and the Sparrowhawk very kindly hustled them off to the mailbox where hopefully the incipient snow won't prevent them from being picked up. I used to believe implicitly in the inerrancy of the USPS, but recent times have caused my faith in this, as in so many things, to waver slightly. I know they'll be late in any case, but at least they're on their way.
