Cocoon of Trill

I had a pretty good visit with Madame today. When I arrived, she was in the bathroom again, trying to change her clothes. This took awhile, but finally she emerged, appropriately dressed and with her hearing aid on! She was surprised to see me, as she always is these days. I wish I had some way to let her know I was coming, because that seems more respectful than just showing up. However, she can't reliably respond to texts or phone calls. She finds them days later and then gets alarmed and confused by them. So I've reluctantly decided it's better not to try. The weather was beautiful, sunny and 68 degrees!! She enjoyed going out and there were no mishaps. She doesn't make conversation as much as she used to, which is sad to me. She became more animated when I got her talking about her father, and how he used to be a good cook. Sometimes the past is more interesting than the present. I texted Mademoiselle to let her know how things were going, and she commented in her reply that I was the only visitor who tells her things about her mom, and this is invaluable to her. I was pleased to hear that.

More discussion of the possible trip to Pittsburgh took place. Various people must be consulted and conferred with. The weather here is now plummeting back to cold temperatures, as a storm front moves through. But the Sparrowhawk is home from the gym, so it can rain and thunder as much as it pleases.
