ismoI was going to be very clever by comparing and contrasting some people I know who are on COMPLETELY different ends of the covid-19 coping spectrum. Then I thought better of it. But I will just say that talking to them on the same day makes my head spin. I will also say that if and when a vaccine is available to me, I'm taking the shot, you betcha. SMH (which I now know means "shaking my head." I used to think it meant "SO MUCH HATE," ha ha.)
We took another walk, and it wasn't quite as cold as yesterday. We passed one of the elderly nuns. She always says to me, "Oh, it's so nice to see you again!" I'm not sure how she knows who I am, especially with my mask on, but I guess my large form and somewhat crooked gait are fairly distinctive, not to mention my hat with stars on it. Then she says, "God bless your day!" and I thank her and wish her the best of health. We waved to a guy in a truck who was working nearby, and he shouted jovially, "Hi, kids!"
I had an enjoyable Zoom and meditation with Dragonfly. Halfway through the meditation, we lost the connection, and neither of us realized it until we opened our eyes. Then we had to sign back in. I have decided not to be old any more. I'm going to think of myself as "differently young." The Sparrowhawk took me very seriously and said he was going to hold me to that. I was procrastinating on starting dinner because I felt lazy. Just then, the Sparrowhawk got an email with a discount pizza coupon. He promptly ordered one and went off to get it. So all I did was make salad and finish browning the ground beef, and put it away for tomorrow.
