ismoIt was cold again today. I didn't go out, although I did enjoy the sunshine from inside the house. It was remarkably chilly in the family room, where there's a door on each side. It was warmer in the living room, where the sun was coming through the windows. The Sparrowhawk was perturbed to see me running around the house all day with bare feet. Eventually I caved and put my socks on.
Yesterday, I cleaned the bathroom, changed the sheets, and put the old ones and the towels in the wash. Today I gave them a quick extra shot of dryer time, because the pillow cases always get tangled up in the fitted sheet and stay damp. Then I hauled them upstairs and folded them. I dragged the dreaded vacuum upstairs and attacked the dust bunnies, although I'll have to give it another go tomorrow.
After going through a whole stack of old notebooks in search of some notes for a story, I labeled them all chronologically so I could tell what order they came in. Today, I decided, for lack of something more urgent to do, that I would make a brief inventory of them as well. I don't organize my daily journals. Everything gets thrown in together. So I thought if I typed up a basic list of what's in which ones, it would help me next time I need something. Or MIGHT help. I accept that my brain requires a certain amount of chaos to function freely. It may not be ideal, but it's me. At least now, if I want to find, say, "Notes for zombie/golem story that [editor] requested, then hated and didn't buy" it won't take me hours to find it again. That's the theory . . . .
Queenie texted to say that the Fireman got his lab results back, and the margins and lymph nodes were clean, so SUCCESS!! We are all happy about that.
