Sadly, the news item that trumps all others for the day is getting a text from Queenie to say that she has COVID! I'm so worried about her. The Fireman got vaccinated due to his job requirements, but she had not. The good news, if there is any in this mix, is that she says she doesn't feel all that bad. Yesterday she was feverish and had chills, but today she says it isn't so bad. An additional discouraging thing is that she was prepping for surgery scheduled for April 6 and had just had her pre-op checkup. Now that will be postponed indefinitely. When the Duchess replied to her message, she also imparted the news that Mr. Dr. Nurse had a couple of bad days, but is on the mend now. I'm hoping that Queenie's case will be similarly mild.
