What a beautiful morning it was--sunny and chill, a few sparkling white clouds in the sky, a brisk breeze tossing the still-green leaves so they glittered. And I had also had some decent sleep. Quite unlike yesterday, when I woke up too early and had to go back to bed for a nap that lasted until it started raining again. We went out for a walk. I had a Zoom with the Nonesuch and discussed some ERB stuff. Then I kinda ran out of gas. Several things I meant to do didn't get done. The enterprising Sparrowhawk went out to run errands and returned with takeout food--my new favorite angel hair pasta from the restaurant by the lake. The sibs got a group text from Mr. Science to let us know he had received word that our cousin California Joe died last night at 12:30. May he rest in peace with my mother and his mother. I'm sad that I didn't get to talk to him again, but based on my attempted phone call last week, I think he may have been past talking. I told him I loved him. I hope he heard that much.
