I thought I'd get a lot of things done today. Apparently my sister Queenie did too. Instead, we spent quite a lot of time on the phone with each other. After that, she probably did get a lot done, but I did not. We had pie, it being the day for that. The chicken pot pie was good, which we already knew. The apple pie from the store was not up to my standards, but given that I didn't have to cook it, it was tolerable. The Sparrowhawk went to the gym. I tried for the second time to write an email that is not going to be welcomed by the recipient. Once again, a fail. Probably I should stop trying to explain and just say "I no longer want this responsibility, so I quit. The end." But meanwhile, I've wasted too much time on it. I then gave up and went for a walk, which was at least marginally sensible. And then watched "Beach Front Bargain Hunt" so I could enjoy pretty views and other people's bad decisions. "Beach Front Bargain Hunt" has a whole other vibe now that I know that all of their cottages will probably be washed away by the sea during my lifetime. This makes it a lot easier to resign myself to not having one.
