SeaSphere of Zenith
Jun. 14th, 2022 10:10 pmIt's a sign of the times that by the time night comes, I can't remember what I was so excited about earlier in the day. The heat wave started, but hasn't peaked yet. Yesterday, the Sparrowhawk got some bags of mulch. This morning, before it got too awfully hot, we spread it around the front flower bed. It wasn't enough, of course. It never is. This is why people buy it by the truckload. He went and got some more this afternoon, and we'll finish the job sometime in the next couple of days. We spent some time going over the documents that our new Elder Law person sent us. It's all about end of life issues, so not the most cheerful things to reflect upon. We're arranging things so that once we both die, the kids will be able to immediately take position of what's left, in four equal shares, without having to go through probate etc. We're also officially assigning medical and financial powers of attorney, and a designated funeral representative. These are all very good things to do, but it crashed my mood for awhile. I pulled up enough to write another 500 words. I'm over 16,000 now, but I'd really like to get to 20,000 before we leave. That would one-quarter of the way toward my goal. It remains to be seen if I can do this. We had a Zoom with friends this evening, as well. Good to see them.
