Noticing that we seem to feel increasingly stupefied as the evening draws on, we're trying out a new schedule whereby we go to bed earlier again. Our bedtime has been creeping up toward midnight, which I think is a bit too late, so we're dialing it back. We're hoping to get more unfrayed mental fabric in the morning out of this. So far, we're just getting really tired by evening, because we've been up longer. This may be a no-win situation, but we'll give it a few more days and see. Anyway, that's one reason I haven't posted--because all of a sudden it's bedtime. The other reason is that I had some trouble logging in to Dreamwidth. This happens occasionally and is an annoyance.

Yesterday morning, we got the rest of the front flower bed mulched. I started it, and the Sparrowhawk kindly finished it so I could go take a shower and get ready to do some grocery shopping. Then he did his piano practice while I hauled the food home. It was hot out. Too hot for me to do any more weeding. The store-made take and bake pizzas were on sale. Believe it or not, the only flavors they had on hand were Prosciutto and Fig, and Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomato with Pesto. That's some pretty high-falutin' pizza there! The Prosciutto and Fig was quite good. We haven't eaten the other one yet. It just seems too hot to cook much.

This morning, it had cooled off a little and was less humid. The Sparrowhawk went off to his boxing gym, and I thought it would be a good time to get something done. However, yesterday I had a voicemail that I hadn't answered yet, so I thought I'd better get that done first. Nearly two hours later . . . . Sigh. Kind of a long conversation, but I don't have it in me to cut someone off when I called them specifically to ask how they were doing after a long-delayed memorial service. It does tire me out, though. I rushed around and got some dinner prep done before it was time to work onLight the book for awhile. Another 750 words, in spite of feeling horrendously sleepy. Yay me. We had tuna fish salad, deviled eggs, and toast for dinner. After dinner, the Sparrowhawk had a book club via Zoom, and I started the anxiety-provoking process of trying to figure out what to pack for the trip. Bonus: I found a couple of useful items of clothing that I had forgotten I had!
