Another very dark, damp day, with heavy fog in the morning--as in, can't see to the end of the street. It cleared away as the day went on. The Sparrowhawk went to his neurology checkup, and I took a quick walk. The air was still chilly and damp, but oddly lively for this time of year. There was no snow on the ground, so you can smell the leaves and grass and whatnot. I did more dishes and had another chat with Madame, who remembered that she hung up on me yesterday and called back. A person supporting the Clean Water lobby came to the door and wanted money. We gave her a relative pittance because we're not made of it these days, but water is important. She also wanted us to write a letter to our congressperson. They give you a model letter that you can just copy, but such boilerplate is weak sauce. Incorporating my rhetorical flourishes, the Sparrowhawk produced a much more rousing missive. Not that anyone will care, most likely, but one must occasionally make an effort.

I'm back to reading through my WIP so far, looking for places where I might want to expand it. Pork and vegetables with harissa is even better the second day.
