Hyssop of Trill
Mar. 22nd, 2023 09:49 pmI only got four hours of sleep last night. I had a bad dream, and when I woke up, my stomach hurt. I finally gave up and went downstairs for too long before trying to go back to sleep again. The big event of the day was taking Madame out to lunch, an event that she anticipated even more than usual, because her son had not been able to visit during the weekend. He got on the highway in the middle of the snowstorm and decided to turn back--probably a wise choice. Madame had been hoping she could get him to take her to her house to get her car back. So that obviously didn't happen. Today she said she had been thinking that she would ask me to take her there. But then she concluded that it wouldn't be very nice for me to get into the middle of this conflict with her family. Thank you, Madame. But if her son doesn't do it this weekend, I suspect she'll be after me next week, because she really wants that car. Mademoiselle is going on vacation next week, so Madame thinks she'll get away with it. I hope she doesn't. She was so exhilarated to be out in the world that she insisted we have a second latte AND a pastry in addition to our sandwiches. It is to weep. . . .
Queenie and the Fireman were released from the hospital and are now at home. It is unclear whether he had a heart attack or not. He probably had an arterial blockage, but it was gone after the catheterization, so no stent has been installed. The original ER doctor put him on heparin and said it probably prevented what could have been a serious attack. I don't know what happens next. Hopefully he has a referral to a cardiologist!
I'm too tired . . . hope I don't have any more stupid dreams tonight.
