Endosperm of Trill
Mar. 30th, 2023 09:46 pmCold rain is spattering against the window, a prelude to tomorrow and Saturday when there will be rain, thunderstorms, and/or snow, depending on whose forecast you're listening to. Today was chilly and sunny. I cleaned up the kitchen and went to the grocery store while the Sparrowhawk had his piano lesson. I hauled home quite a bit of loot, including a while pork loin because it was 1.88 a pound, which is like giving it away at today's prices. The whole thing weighed about eight pounds, so I cut it into hunks and froze them when I got home. The lake was brilliantly blue when I drove past it. Every time I go out in the car these days, I feel a wild urge to just take off and go somewhere! Except when it's snowing. Then I just want to go home.
We switched our Zoom with Deb and the Prussian to this afternoon instead of tomorrow. They have to attend another memorial service. I guess we have reached the age when there are a lot of funerals. We had take and bake pizza. The grocery store makes it, and it's really pretty good, with a nice salad. My editor has emailed me to say he's reading the book at long last! I am excited and eager to hear from him, but also anxious. Rewriting is a challenge, so I just hope he doesn't want too much of that.
