ismoBusy day today. I got 6,600 steps without formally taking a walk. Fitbit doesn't recognize this as "exercise," but I do feel tired. We went to church this morning, arriving on time by the skin of our teeth because I'm just not moving very fast. When we came home, I had to make a quick run to the store. I didn't have as much in my pantry as I thought, and I wanted to make a pan of lasagna for the potluck this evening. I MAY have overdone it just slightly . . . I used the big pan and it took three jars of sauce and a lot of noodles. Actually, I cooked ALL the lasagna noodles, and it was too much, so I have some in the refrigerator for later. I'll figure out something to do with them. It was quite difficult walking the pan down the hill to the picnic area at the park! That thing weighed a ton, and was still steaming hot, too. There were SOME leftovers--enough for a meal or so for us, so not bad--but I was assured that people appreciated it.
It was a day of astonishing warmth and sun. Yesterday, it was cold and drizzly, so I thought today would be one more chilly day, and I'd better make a warming dish. But then the word went forth that we were going to eat in the park because it was so nice! Next time for sure I'll make picnic food instead. When we got home, we called the Diva to wish her a happy birthday! We were lucky that she happened to be between events at her house and could talk to us. She's one of those people who are very present on the phone, so you really feel you are talking to her. We so much enjoyed hearing about her and Mufinhead and Angelbaby that it was more of a gift to us than to her. Now the Sparrowhawk and I are both beat. There are a lot of dishes left to wash from my pastapalooza, but tomorrow . . . .
