Talked to Queenie this morning, and among other things she recounted the acquisition of a huge heirloom tomato and having it for dinner in a BLT. The Sparrowhawk and I had a discussion about going to Pittsburgh, in which it transpired that he really, really wants to go and see the Nipper's play, and he's very hopeful that he'll feel up to it. I actually knew that already. And I know that at his back he always hears Time's winged chariot hurrying near. Like, if he doesn't go this time, he might not get another chance. I can't argue with that. So, I've actually been pretty sure we were going, come what might. We texted the Nipper and he and the Redhead are comfortable with seeing us. It will be 13 days since onset for the Sparrowhawk, and 18 for me, so it should be okay.

We were running low on bread, so I made some more. Inspired by Queenie, we had some very delicious BLTs for dinner. And for dessert, an unexpected treat! PropellerBeanie, out of the goodness of her heart and compassion for our sad state, sent us one of those fancy fruit bouquets! It was really kind of a joke, because the delivery guy first dropped off a nice bouquet that unfortunately turned out to have been sent by a person we never heard of--one "mama jiji," who assured us that she loved us. It took a bit of trouble to get in touch with the delivery service, but eventually they came and took away that bouquet and gave us the one meant for us. All was then made clear, and we knew who had done this nice thing for us! While I wouldn't want PropellerBeanie to feel responsible for our covid--because nobody is responsible, it's just a random thing that happened--I'm glad she was motivated to send us some delicious fruit. We've already started to enjoy it! We had apples dipped in chocolate and strawberries tonight, and there's plenty more for tomorrow.
