I talked to Queenie this morning, and then went to the dentist, who was able to fit me in for a slightly delayed tooth cleaning. I was not looking forward to this, but it wasn't too bad. My hygienist said I had hardly any plaque, which made me happy and also made the appointment shorter! I had a catch-up Zoom with a friends, and read some interesting essays about writing, including one on Elizabeth Goudge. I haven't read most of her adult novels, only her children's fantasies, but I might give them a try. Cooked dinner; washed dishes. I tried to talk myself into going for a walk when the Sparrowhawk went to the gym, but I didn't quite manage it in the time allotted. I called Madame to suggest we go out tomorrow rather than Wednesday, when the Sparrowhawk and I hope to take a brief, long-delayed trip to the lake. I found her in some despondency, eating dinner off a tray while watching CNN. Not a very cheery way to spend an evening! She was eager to go out tomorrow. I texted Mademoiselle about our change of plan, just in case she had made some other appointments. Madame does not always remember her schedule accurately. However, Mademoiselle thought that would be just fine.
