ismoWe did some more tidying up and got our Christmas tree! We put the back seat down and the Christmas tree guy loaded the tree through the wayback, with the end of the trunk just resting on the center console between the Sparrowhawk and me. The Diva was squeezed into the back with the tree, and we all just fit. It's easier this way than tying it on top of the car, and since we go to the neighborhood garden store for the tree, we don't have far to drive home. It seems almost like cheating.
I thought the Diva could help the Sparrowhawk and me carry the tree inside, but she pulled it out and just carried it in all by herself. I helped her set it up in the tree holder and trimmed off the top spike that was a little too tall. We thought it might be a little bit crooked, but we decided to wait until Kansas arrives and see what he thinks. If he thinks it's crooked, then he can help us straighten it out, because he is taller than anyone here at the moment. He's supposed to roll in sometime tonight from Akron, where he was earlier today. Tomorrow Angelbaby will also arrive, in the morning, and possibly the Philosopher and family in the evening. Many the dwarf hood that will hang by the door soon.
I'm way behind in my preparations, and can only hope that I'll be able to catch up tomorrow!
