StoneFly of Flourish
Sep. 2nd, 2018 10:12 pmWe went to church today, mostly to support the pianist, who was performing a suite of pieces based on music from Miyazaki films. It was lovely. The rest of the service was about nature. It was more DIY than usual today, because the minister is still recuperating, and it's Labor Day weekend, so many of the regulars are gone. For some reason, I felt tears in the background from time to time. I don't know why. "Too many circumstances." After the service, the Sparrowhawk said he was ready to go home now. I was a little surprised, because he doesn't usually run off so quickly. In the parking lot, he said he was tired. After we got a bite to eat at home, I said I had things I could work on upstairs, thus coaxing him to come up with me where he could lie down for a good nap. He slept for an hour while I did extra bathroom cleaning, took the shower curtain down to be washed, and put away some laundry. This was definitely worth while, because after he'd rested up, he cooked dinner while I was wrestling with my WIP. Salmon with dill, artichokes, green beans, and a baked potato. Simple and perfect. Wish I could say the same for my writing project!
