A pretty good day, all things considered, even though it started with the usual combo of stomach discomfort and achy legs. I dreamed that a person who disrespected me BADLY in my earlier life returned, and did it again. When I woke up I was glad to think that, in reality, I'd probably never see them again. There are times when reality is much, much better than dreams.

I skipped the UU Ladies Lunch, because it was at a sushi place. Normally, I love sushi, but my tummy was just not up for that today. There was a brightening of the sky, and a hint of sun, so the Sparrowhawk and I went out on our Mary Oliver Memorial Walk instead. The lake is frozen over, and the sky above it was an incandescent swirl of clouds, as if they were melting in a bright crucible. The walk was invigorating, and it was the right call to go right then, because later in the day, the overcast thickened and became dull again. I had a plain turkey and lettuce sandwich on fresh bread for lunch. Much more soothing.

I showed the Sparrowhawk MY way of making leek and potato soup, and he used the chicken broth to make it. I went up to do some more cleaning in my room, but everything was aching, and I ended up doing nothing much but taking Advil and sitting down again. I unearthed another old notebook from 2010, but still no 100 book list. I guess I'll have to remake it. My mother didn't answer the phone, again. It's unsettling after so many years. We ate the leek and potato soup for dinner, plus toasted cheese made with another slice of bread.
