Mother’s Day

After another bad night of sleepless anxiety, things have taken a decided upward turn. On the way over, I got a text from the Duchess inviting us to stay with them tonight. It was so comforting because then I knew she was okay and not mad at me. When we arrived at my mother’s, Mr. Science’s non-binary child and their boyfriend were there. We all had dinner together in the rehab dining room. Mother cleaned her plate with enjoyment, and participated a bit in the lively conversation. I said that I was proud because she always had the best entourage on holidays when there are visitors. She said “Yes, we’re always laughing.” She’s had grandchildren visiting for the last three days, and I think they are really her best medicine. It’s been a good day. But hard to blog on my phone, so more later.
