Yesterday I had a bit of a relapse, which ended up in the usual 5 hour night and a feeling that I'd never get over this. I felt quite wobbly and debilitated this morning, but I was on tap to play with the music group, so I was determined to go to church anyway. I got there early and helped with various things like putting the sign out and getting the coffee cart out of the closet. It rolls a lot better since the Sparrowhawk swapped out the handles. Unfortunately, the service was about the 60s. I knew I was going to be aggravated, and I was. If you know something about history, inaccuracies by someone who wasn't there are annoying. However, I had the music to keep me interested. We had a new flute player, and in my opinion, I harmonized quite well with her once we got going. I had to bug out immediately after the service because I had expended all of my available energy. Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight, and continue the upward trend tomorrow.

With the full moon, we enter the phase of Leave and head for the equinox--always a melancholy period for me. The word "leave" is evocative of many things, most of them sad. But this is also a happy day--the anniversary of the Diva and Kansas. Eighteen years!!! It was a beautiful day in western Kansas, the sky pure blue and empty of planes except for the occasional fighter jet screaming over, because it was only four days after 9/11. We were so grateful to be there together, and to be celebrating life and new beginnings.

Hooray for new musicians! I have another two weeks before our first rehearsal, and am getting impatient.
