ismoI need a night's sleep that's not fitful with discomfort. Between my stomach and my joints, it hasn't been very restful lately. I didn't have much energy or focus today, or yesterday for that matter. Maybe tomorrow. I was going to go to bed earlier tonight, but I had an unexpected call from an old friend from PA.
This afternoon, the Sparrowhawk suggested that we try to go to the local lake for awhile. I said yes because I had just been daydreaming about how we used to go there all the time. The last time we took a walk by the lake, it wasn't much fun, because there were so many clueless yahoos milling about with no masks, taking no pains to distance themselves from anyone. But today, we were able to find a nice spot under a shady tree, and park our folding chairs in peace next to the water. There were a great number of ducks bustling around and being fed by other people--not by us. There was a pleasant breeze off the water, and clouds sailing overhead to make up for the lack of sailboats on the lake.
