LittleBittern of Trill
Apr. 16th, 2018 10:06 pmIt snowed intermittently today, but also went above freezing, so some of the slush and ice left over from the last round of precipitation started to melt. The main thing we did today was spend almost the whole afternoon in a looooong church committee meeting. It was the first one since our minister returned from sabbatical, so there was much to be discussed. The house we were meeting in is up a steep hill out in the boonies east of town, but the payoff was that it is a very pleasant space to have a committee meeting in, if you MUST have a meeting. It has big windows that look out onto the woods, and everywhere you look inside, there is art, Southwestern pottery, or other souvenirs to catch your eye. Our host served ginger cookies. But I was still dying to get out of there by the time we concluded. Meetings are just not my thing. I love getting together with a small group of interesting people, but when it's an official meeting, most of the things that go through my mind are not germane to the agenda, so I have to squash them. That's not my idea of fun!
