IbexBleat of Simmer
Jul. 27th, 2020 09:36 pmRan out of gumption for posting. I've been sleeping badly and eating small amounts of very bland things. I had one good-ish day when I did a lot of weeding and planted another packet of beans that I happened to have on hand. I might get a fall crop. I'm not too sanguine about that, but it could happen. Yesterday I spent a lot of time sleeping--eight hours plus a nap. So I didn't get anything done, but I was hoping to feel better as a result. I wrote up a whole bunch of cards for various occasions and sent them off, some with gifts enclosed. There was some satisfaction in seeing the stack sitting there, all addressed and stamped.
The promised rain and cool front arrived, so today it was only in the 80s instead of the 90s. A damp, muggy morning turned into a sunny evening. Tomorrow is supposed to be much more pleasant. I've belatedly started on the minor revisions the editor requested for that story. I'm sure I'll finish it by the end of the month, as he wanted. I know some writers enjoy doing revisions. I don't. However, the requests were not at all unreasonable, so who knows, maybe I'll improve the product in spite of myself. This morning, a handy person came to do some regrouting in the hall bathroom. The Sparrowhawk thinks this will fix the shower leak problem. I hope he's right, though I admit to feeling dubious. I spent the time while she was working on the bathroom in our bedroom, pursuing my dusting and cleaning project. It always leads to reorganization and, usually, finding things I had forgotten about. I'm not finished yet, but I ran out of gas. Hoping I'll get another decent night of sleep and continue to feel better.
