This was not my favorite day, because . . . stuff . . . and not sleeping. There were nice sunny bits in it, but they were interspersed with rain, and the sunny parts, provokingly, never came when I could go out. However, there were a couple of nice things about the day. In the morning, we were sitting around in our lounge wear--to dignify it with a fancy name--when the doorbell rang. That is very unusual these days! The Sparrowhawk answered the door, and beheld the littlest of the girls next door. "My sister is going to do a magic trick in the back yard, but you can still be six feet away, so can you come?" said Daisy, which is not her name. We hastened to put on our outdoor pants and joined them in the driveway between our houses. She said, "Can you wait here? I'll go get my mother." Her mom came out, looking rather flustered and still in her pjs. Daisy explained that her big sister would do the card trick, and we all watched. She did three very good card tricks, having her mom pick the card and show it to us, and then picking it unerringly out of the pack. This was much more exciting than our Sunday mornings usually are these days.

Later on, I had a good Zoom call with Moonmoth and the Nonesuch. None of us had any exciting news to share, but it's always nice to see them.
