Hail of Shadow

I got up bright and early and got my blood drawn. I came home and went for a very nice walk. I'd been dying to get out of the house for a couple of days, and finally made it. It was sunny and nice until afternoon. The Sparrowhawk came with me, somewhat to my surprise. He's still slightly under the weather, but getting better, I think. Had some lunch, did some reading and writing, called Queenie. It turned out she'd had a nice weekend celebrating the birthday of her daughter, the Gazelle, but today she was having some pretty dire gastro issues, and is planning to see the doctor tomorrow. I do hope she'll get better soon. The sun went behind the clouds, and the pit of melancholy beckoned. Staving it off with some Great British Bake-Off.
