It seems as if there's a day every year when the leaves decide it's time to let go. Today was that day. Very strange weather came in with the rain last night: damp and warm weather, with a high of 79, sunshine and a gusty wind. The leaves cascaded off the trees in golden rivers, and the wind blew them everywhere. The ground was carpeted with gold.

I was still coughing and felt tired. Nevertheless, we went to the pharmacy to get our flu shots. My arm started hurting in under an hour, but it's not too bad. We had our weekly Zoom with Deb and the Prussian. I was kinda hanging on by my fingernails by the end, because it's still hard to talk. We sat in the back yard for awhile. We won't get too many more chances, I don't think. The plumber came to re-fix the toilet that he came to fix earlier and ended up making it worse. This time he seems to have actually fixed it. I went to my women's group tonight with some trepidation. I did cough quite a lot, but we were all there for a change, and I was glad to hear how things are going for all. All of us seemed to be very tired!
