PondTaro of Shadow
Oct. 30th, 2024 08:59 pmI stubbornly took Madame out today. I wasn't really feeling it, but I'm trying to return to normal, and I didn't want to desert her two weeks running. As it turned out, she didn't even remember that she didn't see me last week. She was down the hall in her room when I went to get her, so she may have forgotten that I was coming today as well. I suggested she might put a shirt on under her jacket, because she didn't have one. I saw the rather splendid new chair, which is definitely an improvement over the old one. She says she likes it. I saw that her hearing aid battery was lying on the counter, and plugged it in for her. I also noticed ominous stacks of incontinence supplies lying about. I have inquired of Mademoiselle if this is something I should know about. At a certain point in my mother's life, it was important to bring some extra things on any trip. Madame said the PT had just been there, but she thinks he is useless and stupid. Apparently not a fan . . . . We had a pleasant time, but came home a little earlier than usual. I think we were both tired.
I was so tired, in fact, that when I got home, I felt like indulging in a childish tantrum to express my general dissatisfaction with the state of things. But, being an adult, I did not. The Sparrowhawk made me a cup of tea, which helped somewhat. I wondered if the shot I got yesterday might be aggravating my system. At any rate, tomorrow I won't have to get up and go anywhere, so I can have a relapse. I did some more laundry and disassembled the chicken remnants and boiled the bones.
