Happy first day of spring! It was a really nice day, quite spring-like, although our back yard is still a squishy morass. The fallen tree was hauled away yesterday while I was out having lunch with Dragonfly. I did a few small things today. I got a paint scraper and attacked the sticky swirls of rug glue on the basement floor. I can scrape off the bits of carpet pad stuck to them, but there's still some stickyness that I can't remove. We'll have to try other means. After this experiment, I went to the bakery outlet and got some rye bread and a loaf of white that was half price because it was a little bit misshapen, and two double chocolate muffins and a cranberry-orange scone for Dr. Nurse and family. It's her birthday tomorrow. I stopped at the garden store on the way home and bought her a dish garden with spring bulbs and a primrose. I've done this for several years now, so I think it's a tradition. I was going to do some grocery shopping, but opted for a shower instead. Then I sat around and contemplated all the things I've written and never sold, while the Sparrowhawk had a turn doing errands.

A local eatery was selling walleye fish fry plates, so he picked up those for dinner. When he got home, we went to see Dr. Nurse and drop off our little gifts. We got to hang with her and Bird Baby and a friend in the back yard for a few minutes, while the notes of piano music wafted through the window from inside where Dr. Music was giving a lesson. My stomach is really giving me heck lately, and dyspepsia does not make for clarity of thought.
