BigEared Opossum of Trill

Again not the greatest of days, due to not sleeping, and also the Sparrowhawk having more off periods than usual, but we make the best of it. He went out to do his money counting early, so he could be sure to get to his eye appointment in time. Realizing that this would mean he'd go all morning without breakfast, I quickly made him a peanut butter and banana sandwich, and put it in a bag with some slices of salami and an orange. Just like sending him off to school! But surprise! He came right back again and ate his lunch at home. The church safe was inoperable and so they couldn't take the money out to count it! Later in the day, he got a message from the secretary to say they had managed somehow to open the safe, and the staff on hand had counted the money themselves. At the optometrist's, his vision was pronounced 20/20, so he no longer needs glasses. Good news!

I talked to Queenie and made some excellent Rotekohl mit Apfeln, from the recipe in a German cookbook I got at a used book sale many years ago. It had a little red wine and a little red currant jelly to finish the flavor. That's about all the inspiration I got for ya today.
